THE ARCHITECT
The team behind Residence Puskinova has been led by the renowned Czech architect, Stanislav Fiala.
Fiala’s work is inspirational. It transgresses the line between architecture and art. His buildings are recognized by their seamless immersion into the surrounding area in which they are developed, his readiness for improvisation and his knack for the unexpected. The brutalist and innovative use of building techniques and materials such a fair-faced concrete, corten and wood are the hallmarks of his aesthetic, as are the unique green facades and unique green roofs. Among the numerous international recognitions awarded to Stanislav Fiala over the years are the “Architect of the year”, “Building of the year in the Czech Republic”, “Building of the year of the city of Prague” and the “Phaidon Atlas of contemporary world architecture”. In 2000 he was awarded the Mies van der Rohe Award for his work on the MUZO office building in Strašnice, Prague. His latest development, the DRN office building on Narodny trida, in the UNESCO protected area of central Prague, was also nominated in the finals of Mies van der Rohe award.
